State vs. Wake tailgate and game

It was our annual State vs. Wake tailgate and game with the Sears family this past Saturday. This year, my folks and I decided to spice things up and give the tailgate a splash of color. What I mean by that is we all wore red pants.

My folks bought Lincoln these game day bibs. I do believe he will be able to wear those even next season. They are currently rolled up twice.....

As usual, State won since we were home and we will most likely lose next year since the game will be at Wake. This has seriously been the case since our family has gotten together for the tailgate every year.
No this is not a wig my cousin Zeke is wearing...he hasn't cut his hair in almost two years. It looks exactly like his sister Ali's hair and is the same length.

Nothing better than a first quarter nap.....

Halloween

I am pretty sure this is one of the cutest monkeys I have ever seen. Enough said........

Passing out candy with Aunt Rachel.

One tired monkey...

We had a fun time this Halloween. It was a really busy day with a Halloween party at his school and a parade at the end. All of the kids at his school walked around the building for the parents to see them in their costumes. It was really adorable watching all the chaos that ensued. Some walked in a straight line, some waved, some cried, and some ran to their parents. Lincoln had just as much fun passing out candy to people as he did getting it from people. He did attempt to actually walk into our neighbors homes when they opened the door. We will need to work on that one for next year.

Last Halloween I had no intentions of dressing Lincoln up. He wasn't walking or even crawling at that point and I knew we weren't going to take him out. I thought all of the above until I saw to  a Mickey Mouse costume at the Disney store and then the picture below shows you what happened next.

When is too early to make your kid walk your dogs?

Lincoln has always expressed interest in the dogs leashes and trys to walk the dogs at home. While we were at the cabin this past weekend, we let Lincoln attempt to walk the dogs. Yes, he did get pulled down a few times but our son is resiliant and wanted to keep doing it.  Since he will at some point weigh more than the dogs, maybe we can let that be his job. Could be years before he out weighs Baxter!

Recent videos of Lincoln

After a recent trip to Red Robin, Lincoln was given a balloon. I think he developed a very strong love/hate relationship with it. Since he wasn't a fan of having it tied to his wrist, he had to deal with the fact that it would escape him once he let go. Maybe he will learn one day.

Not sure when we should tell him the rules of Corn hole.....

Still here....

No real excuse that I can give you except to say that school started back (yep over a month ago) and I have been that busy. Lincoln is back at the Growing Years two days a week and with my mom the other three. He has transitioned really well to his new room. It is so cute to see him sitting at the little table they have for them to eat all of there meals. He loves his new classroom because the toys are a lot better and he literally runs from one toy to the next all day long. Brad and I think this child can out last us any day. Below is a picture of us at Duke Gardens. All Lincoln did was run around there.
Back in June, Brad and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. We always said we would take time and get away so we decided to head down to Orlando and check out Universal Studios and Harry Potter. My folks were awesome and kept Lincoln while we were gone. We missed him like crazy and he really got hooked up with some cool outfits and toys. It was really nice to get away just the two of us. We have always enjoyed amusement parks together so it was cool to ride rides without having to do child swap.
At the Boardwalk hotel. My dream place to stay on Disney property (Brad do you see this....)!
Brad and I at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The attention to detail is amazing, right out of the books, and the ride is really awesome but that place gets so crowded after just a few hours of the park being open.
One of many ridiculous things you can buy there. No didn't buy it but had to get my picture taken with a robe on.
Frozen butterbear....really good. So good that Brad and I each got two that day.

I promise to update on a more consistent basis. Football season has started back up and we have some pretty cool things planned this fall. Unit then....

Lincoln is ready for football!

This is a picture of Lincoln right before football season last year and below are pictures of him with his new football jersey. He doesn't even look like the same little boy to me!

Lincoln checking out a Mr. Wuf statue at the Go Pack store....We tell him that he can go to college anywhere he wants  (as long as we can afford it) but I am sure you can guess where we want him to go!

Cousins and the beach

We recently went to Holden Beach for the day to visit family. My aunt and uncle rented a place right on the water for a week and Lincoln was able to spend time with his cousin (second cousins maybe?) Mackensie and meet Sheamus. Mackensie and Lincoln are about six weeks apart in age and Sheamus was six weeks old when we got to meet him. Above is Lincoln meeting Sheamus..there were lots of "be gentle" and "be careful" with Lincoln so close to Sheamus.
Lincoln was last at the beach when he was about four months old so this was a whole new experience for him. He wasn't wild about the water continually coming at him but he loved running around in the sand.

Momentarily playing with Mackensie in the sand...seeings how Lincoln doesn't like to stay still for too long, sitting and playing in the sand didn't last too long.
The boy goes crazy for his Nani who he is reaching for while she is taking the picture.
He ran up and down the beach for over an hour before he got tired so it wasn't a long day at the beach but he did seem to have fun!

Vacation Pictures Part 3

Our attempt at a family picture at the Golden Gate Bridge. Maybe Lincoln will look at the camera one day.

Probably the best family picture from the trip.
Ate at In-n-out Burger two times on the trip. Pretty good food and it helps to know about the stuff you can order that isn't on the menu.
Brad and I on Lombard Street.
The Giants 3rd basemen, Pablo Sandoval, is referred to as "Big Panda." Not sure why but there were a lot of people wearing these hats at both games that we went to.
Catching a ride on a cable car.
We rented these things called Go Cars and rode down towards the Golden Gate Bridge and back. You feel and look like a massive tool in them with the big helmet and the really loud GPS that gives you a guide to the whole area. The cars around us were not big fans of us flying down the road along side them.
 Family pic at Giants stadium.
Lincoln tearing into a pretzel at the game.

Overall we had an awesome time while we were out in California. We miss the weather big time! Lincoln did great traveling and we hope this trend continues.
